faces in the trees...
Welcome everyone once again to keep discovering the secrets of the ancients civilizations in Asia...I followed another rute to Ayutthaya to visit some very old temples in the Khmer style - a testament to the centuries of conflict between Thailand and what is now Cambodia - and see the famous Buddha face peering out from between the tree roots
In its heyday, Thai culture and commerce flourished, and lots of foreign merchants resided in the capital, including Dutch, Portuguese, French, English, Japanese etc. Foreign visitors were most impressed by its splendour
